Ruth Abrahamson elected president of AMC Institute Canadian Chapter Board
TORONTO, ON – Base Consulting and Management Inc. today announced the election of Ruth Abrahamson, CEO as the incoming president of the AMC Institute (AMCI) Canadian Chapter 2021-2022 Board of Directors.
Ruth is a 30-year veteran of the association management world, with a long-time track record of participating in industry associations. A long-time AMCI member, Ruth was instrumental in the founding of the Canadian Chapter in 2016.
“I am thrilled to be working alongside so many of my talented industry colleagues to raise awareness of the association management model and maintain high professional standards in the industry,” said Ruth. “This is such an exciting time in association management, where we see our virtual, versatile models truly come into their own in this fast-changing on-line world.”
In addition to her new AMCI Canadian Chapter Board President role, Ruth serves on conference committees for the global AMCI organization and on the Advocacy Committee of JVS Toronto, where she is Past Chair. Ruth has lived and worked in Canada, the UK and France and speaks English, French, and German.
